The Artists

Chrissie Higgins JP (Com. Dec.) Chairperson photographer

art” for Chrissie is all forms of communication and she believes it permeates all aspects of our lives, even when we are asleep. Chrissie has an established record of staging events with a sound reputation for communication commitment and focus, largely by understanding people’s expectations and persisting until the desired result has been achieved. More recently Chrissie explored the art of photography which has resulted in a unique array of honest, individual pieces. These have been inspired by the local environment, with a special understanding of the richness of nature.

Kacie Lord Photographer

Kacie Lord has lived most of her life in the bush. The last 25 years of that life have been on a remote cattle station in North West Queensland 120 km north of a little town called Richmond. That life time in the bush has given her a deep love and respect for the animals and the land and the custodians of that land. Now in her 50s Kacie has begun photographing this beautiful part of north Queensland where she lives. This is the first exhibition of her work.
